Gwen can get the spoon to her mouth and eat from it, if we get the food
on it for her.
Update: 5 Jan 07—I am trying to get over my distaste for messes and allow Gwen to get some good spoon time in. Click these pictures to see larger images of this morning's effort.

Gwen started drinking from a sippy about two months ago, but now she can
manipulate it by herself.
Update (6 June 07): Gwen can drink from a regular cup now, too. |
| Use a fork and spoon |

Gwen has pretty well mastered the spoon, but Mommy does not yet want her to try the fork. It only takes one accident to lose an eye, man. |
| Undress myself |

Gwen is not yet removing too much clothing, but socks have little chance of staying on for more than two minutes. |
| Wash and dry my hands |

Gwen loves washing her hands after meals and helps with the soap, scrubbing, and drying. |
| Try to brush my teeth |

Per the suggestion of our pediatrician, Gwen has started to "brush" her four little teeth. She thinks it is great fun. No surprise—we sing about brushing our teeth, so she had long earlier gotten excited by miming the motions. |
| Use the potty |

Gwen is fascinated by the potty. She loves to say and sign it. She is also starting to tell Mommy when she has a poopy butt. Mommy had planned to postpone potty training until Gwen was close to 3, but if she keeps being interested, maybe it will be sooner. |
| Put my clothes on |

Gwen very much enjoys putting on hats and socks. She will also wrap anything she can around herself (toys, clothes, blankets, paper, etc) and call it a coat. |
