For quite some time, Gwen has shaken her hands in excitement and clapped Mommy's hands. But today, she put her little hands together while we were singing "Clap Your Hands," one of our favorite Wiggleworms songs. |

While most babies wave bye–bye, our Gwen has decided that she prefers to celebrate arrivals: she loves to wave hello using her whole arm. She does not limit her friendliness: in addition to waving to others, she also waves to herself in the mirror, to photographs, to animals, and sometimes, to toys. |
| Pretend to talk on the phone |

Gwen has a very special brand of pretend phone calls. When she was about six months old, she drooled into the mic of my cell phone, forcing me to keep it on speaker for anyone to hear me. So, Gwen yells "Hi!" at phones, rather than cradling them to her ear.
Update—January 2007: Gwen got not one but two toy cell phones for Christmas and cannot get enough of chattering into them and pushing their many buttons. |

Gwen loves to run around with kids and enjoys playgroup at the park. We just had her first playdate with our neighbor, Sam, which involved a lot of giggling and some attempts at sharing. Earlier this summer, Gwen even walked up to a kid at the park to sign and say, "Name Gwen!" |

What would we do without Wiggleworms? Several songs we sing include instructions to blow a kiss, so we do it all the time, and Gwen loves it. She is a very demonstrative baby when it comes to affection, not only blowing kisses, but being very generous with actual kisses and hugs, saying "Awwwww" while giving them. |
